Graphic Design

During my time in Mass Communication, I've developed a foundation in design through modules such as Visual Communication and Digital Media Fundamentals. Over time, I have grown to love graphic design and working under media teams honed my skills in the different softwares. Whenever I have free time, I draw graphics on Procreate or experiment around in Adobe illustrator. I find it extremely fulfilling seeing my ideas come to life.

I, alongside my team, experimented and came up with different ways to put up our content in an informative yet engaging way. Not straying far from the brand image of HYPE, we came up with a different layout and structure for the posts that is easy on the eyes of the viewers. At the same time, we thought to make both our social media posts and website more visually appealing by doing up graphics for each story.

One of the responsibilities I had as part of the Publicity & Public Relations teams is the content creation for our social media platforms. For our run, we had a more retro theme, so we played around with different themes such as a magazine layout, arcade layout, and more. We tried different ways to make our social media posts as engaging and attractive as possible, while still keeping to the FMS Agents theme which is purple.

With this role, also grew my love for design and content creation.

As part of the Media team, I helped in brainstorming and coming up with ideas for social media posts and other collaterals. For the Virtual Camp 2021, I was able to work on designing the camp tee along with my other Media team members. The theme for the camp was High School Musical so we made sure to capture the key points of the movie into the design.
